For the past year and a half, I worked as a Store Manager, taking full responsibility for the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the store. I led and developed my team to deliver an excellent customer experience while ensuring the business consistently achieved its operational and financial targets. My role at KFC is as a Cook, where I am responsible for ensuring high-quality products are prepared and readily available to support the smooth running of the restaurant. I understand that maintaining stock levels and product availability is essential to delivering excellent customer service and keeping the business operating efficiently. During my time in this role, I have developed strong organisational skills, learned the importance of teamwork, and gained the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Alongside my responsibilities as a Cook, I have been trusted with Team Leader duties, allowing me to support and guide colleagues during shifts. I have also recently completed a First Aid course, further demonstrating my commitment to taking on additional responsibilities and contributing to a safe working environment.

I was a Barista Maestro with Costa Coffee for six years and gained extensive experience supporting the day-to-day operation of the business. During this time, I also worked as a Secondment Store Manager at the Birkenhead store, where I gained valuable experience leading teams and managing store performance. My responsibilities included completing monthly stocktakes, creating and managing rotas while controlling labour costs to meet business needs, and completing Friday morning administration and compliance paperwork.

I developed a strong understanding of driving sales through effective upselling techniques to increase average transaction value (ATV), while also managing waste by identifying trends, investigating the root causes of any issues, and implementing clear standards and accountability within the team to reduce unnecessary waste.
