Student Keeper at Chimp Eden (2026-01 – 2026-04)
Working as a keeper in the Chimpanzee sanctuary cutting up food, making enrichments, observation and monitoring, cleaning, assisting with tour groups and general maintenance tasks within the Centre. Living within the sanctuary and accepted as one of the team of keepers.
Volunteer at Wildlife Friends Foundation (2025-10 – 2025-12)
Cared for over 600 rescue animals including primates, bears, otters, civets, reptiles and birds as part of a team, feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, making enrichments, scrubbing pools and general maintenance at the Centre. Working 6 days per week, 11 hours per day.
Volunteer at Colobus Conservation (2025-06 – 2025-08)
Worked in a primate sanctuary called Colobus Conservation at Kenya. Responsible for cleaning enclosures, feeding the animals and assisting with environmental projects and veterinary duties for injured animals. Assisted with groups of visitors on tours as and when required.
Volunteer at Chimp Eden (2025-04 – 2025-05)

Weekend Retail Assistant at The Mutts Nuts (2024-11 – 2025-04)
Key holder and wholly responsible for the running of this busy souvenir shop at the foot of Victoria Street, Edinburgh. Responsible for customer service, security of stock and cash, replenishing stock, cleaning shelving and flooring, accepting deliveries and removing rubbish.
Retail Assistant at Costcutter (2022-06 – 2024-08)
Working without supervision for shifts for up to 6 hours, taking cash and card payments, stocking shelves, stock rotating, cleaning shelves, removing rubbish, recycling packaging, accepting deliveries and processing Evri parcels for customers.
Volunteer at Glendrick Roost Animal Sanctuary (2020-07 – 2022-05)
Caring for animals at this rescue Centre. Included feeding the animals, cleaning out the enclosures, taking dogs for walks and helping with general duties around the sanctuary. Took part in the Kilt Walk on two occasions and raised over £2,000 for charity.
Volunteer at Easterton Stables (2014 – 2019)
Every Easter, Summer and Christmas holiday volunteered at the stables, looking after the horses that were part of the equestrian school. This involved feeding and watering the horses, keeping them clean and grooming them, brushing their coats and oiling their hooves. Mucked out the stables and put down clean bedding. Cleaned saddles and bridles and tack and fitted them on the horses. Also rode the horses to exercise them and spent time getting to know their personalities.
