I also worked here from October 2024 - January 2025. Managing and overseeing a team of approx 50 team members covering Four bars at the Cambridge Christmas Market. It is a bit like running a giant pub, but just outdoors.
Managing corporate events, inhouse bookings and liasing with the food vendors. Sorting out staff rota's, training staff, dealing with till/ POS issues, overseeing orders, keeping track of stock and cellar management. No cashing up involved as all the bars are cashless - over 30 tills, so that is a bit of a godsend - just have to input data onto the Accounts system.

I also worked here from June 2024-October 2024. This is a Summer cleaning contract managing a team of 20-25 cleaners. It involves deep cleaning and carpet cleaning of all the student accomodation both on Campus and offsite.
This varies from en-suite rooms, to flats and houses ranging from Four to Ten bedrooms. Cleaning of all the communal areas is also required - stairs, corridors, laundry rooms etc. I also did staff rotas, timesheets, stock ordering and liase with the on-site accomodation team to make sure all the rooms are ready within a certain timeframe, and any summer conference guest accomodation was prepared and ready.

Worked on various building sites, colleges and the science park throughout Covid Lockdown making sure all the welfare facilities were cleaned and sanitised for all the builders. As it was during Covid I was working alone due to restrictions.

Taking internal & external catering bookings whether it was a small client meeting, a corporate lunch, a large conference booking or a fine dining event. Liasing with the Catering Manager, Chefs and personal assistants to the Managing Directors to adhere to all the dietary and booking requirements.
I also provided hospitality for the office based staff whether it was a promotion, celebration or a working lunch. I only left due to Covid 19. After the restrictions were lifted nearly 80% of the office staff were homeworking so CH&Co didn't renew their contract.

Responsible for an in-house team of Four plus additional agency staff required for Weddings, Conferences, Functions and Formal Dinners - these could range from 2-500 people.
Students and Staff either Breakfast/Lunch or Lunch/Dinner depending on shift worked. Stock ordering for Front of House and the College bars. Liasing with the Conference and Banqueting office, chefs and the College Mistress regarding any bookings or special requests needed. Keeping the Mistress' and Fellows offices topped up with refreshments. Working extra hours in the College Bars on either formal dinner evenings or for external functions - predominantly evenings & weekends outside my other shifts.
Assistant Manager - The Fox Pub - Bar Hill

Supervising and managing a team of Fifteen both front and back of house alongside the General Manager and also in their absence running a very lively community based pub. Stock purchasing, cashing up, banking and Staff rotas aswell as Cellar management were all part of my job. Staff training and keeping personnel files, food safety and COSHH paperwork all up to date.
Working either on the bar or in the kitchen. Encouraging and organising functions and events whether it was Poker, Pool, a Disco/Karaoke night or a Halloween/Christmas event. The pub attracted a lot of local trade and also passers by, especially to watch Sport and also for Breakfast and Sunday Carvery.
