Carly Murphy

I have held various roles within my school, including a prefect, where I developed strong leadership and communication skills. In addition, I gained practical work experience assisting my father at Green Core, a food manufacturing company, where I learned the value of teamwork. In December 2025, I began my first job at The Star pub as floor staff, where I developed customer service and social skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

I also learned to work behind the bar, building confidence and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. I bring a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others to everything I do, and I'm eager to continue growing and contributing as a valued member of your team.

Floor Staff at The Star (2025-12 – 2026-01) As floor staff in a pub (The Star), I was responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers, taking food and drink orders, serving efficiently, and keeping the floor clean and organised during busy shifts. I'd handle payments accurately, respond to customer questions or issues politely, and work closely with the bar and kitchen team to keep service running smoothly. Through this role, I developed strong customer service and communication skills, learned to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and improved my teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities while maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism.

Weatherspoons April-August

I also worked in Weatherspoons giving me more experience in the service industry building on my experience and skills. It was fast paced helping me learn how to deal with stressful situations more appropriately.
