During my time at Benco Hosiery, not only did I gain confidence in my skills as an Embroiderer by gaining experience of three different brands of machines and two different examples of embroidery software, I also learnt the true value of being part of a small team which has and will continue to prove invaluable to my career going forward. I was also part of the social media and marketing team during my four years with Benco Hosiery.

While working at Glenbrae Knitwear, I started as an embroiderer and was expected to embroider up to 300 garments per day with a choice of 3 designs on their multi head machines. In addition to this, I was expected to help other departments in the factory when asked to. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic in 2020, I was made redundant from this job.

I began working in Heanor as a store supervisor and following the resignation of the Deputy Manager, I was promoted to this position. In order to fulfil the expectations of this position, It was my responsibility to open and close the store, be an active key holder and cash up at the end of the day as well as manage other members of staff.

My experience with Select began in Derby as a sales assistant. In this position my main duty was to converse with the customers and introduce them to new items to make sales. As the day progressed, I had to maintain stock levels on the shop floor to ensure we maximised potential sales.

As a sales assistant my main role was to maintain the day to day running of the store by carrying out a range of tasks. These included unloading deliveries to the store and ensuring that stock was replenished as and when required on the shop floor.
