Biological sciences professional aimed at helping educate the public on conservation of the ocean, and wildlife to enhance the quality of life of animals as well as human beings through research and outreach.
With my degree rooted in the sciences, I am passionate about helping educate the public in the marine sciences field, and helping care for the ocean and the animals that call it home.
I spent many years in 4-H which allowed me to volunteer and be an active leader in my community. I was able to begin caring for animals at a young age and it sparked my desire and empathy to care for animals. A pivotal moment in my life was completing a seal lion trainer for a day experience where I fell in love with wildlife, specifically marine life.
I have had the privilege of traveling to South America, and Galapagos to work on conversation projects. My love for the ocean has taken me to Texas to intern at a sea turtle rescue as well as volunteering my time with Northumberland Zoo in the UK and helping rescue seals as a marine mammal medic with British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
I am keen to work in a job where I can help animals and educate others to understand and protect the ocean and its inhabitants. I want others to experience the joy and understanding I had of the ocean when I had my sea lion experience.
Education is key in this field. I strive for people to have experiences they never forget. This will spark A desire to help the environment. A job in marine sciences will receive my full dedication, problem solving skills, and communication skills to better not only my workplace, but also each individual I come in contact with-animal and human alike!
