About

I am a confident and motivated registered adult nurse looking to diversify my nursing career. Since qualifying as a nurse I have worked on a general surgical ward and an outpatient/daycase surgical unit where I treat patients under a variety of specialties so I have gained a wide general knowledge of conditions and their treatments. I manage my own caseload and assess and treat the specific needs of my patients both pre and post-operatively.

I have also gained experience in the medical field when the surgical ward transitioned into a COVID-19 ward during the pandemic. This not only expanded my clinical skills but demonstrated my ability to adapt and learn in a new and high pressure setting. However, it was the implementation of Trakcare in our hospital that made me realise my leadership potential.

Trakcare had already been implemented when I joined Bristol Nuffield, however I started in Taunton Nuffield just before the system was rolled out. Because of my vast experience I became a superuser and continue even now to provide NEPR support throughout the hospital. Also due to the nature of my department I now have a solid understanding of how Trakcare is used in all clinical areas/by all medical professionals.
