I am a compassionate and highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse with a BSc (Hons) in Nursing from Coventry University and extensive clinical experience across a broad range of mental health settings. My experience includes acute female inpatient wards, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), community mental health teams, and dementia care services. I have a strong professional interest in progressing into a Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapist role, with the long-term aim of qualifying as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in the future.
I am clinically proficient in comprehensive mental health assessments, formulation-informed care planning, risk assessment and management, and the safe administration of medication. I have practical experience working with risk levels 1–4 and demonstrate sound clinical judgement when managing complex presentations, crisis situations, and safeguarding concerns. I work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to collaborative decision-making and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
Through my mental health nursing background, I have developed a strong understanding of psychological therapies, evidence-based interventions, and recovery-focused practice. I am skilled in building and maintaining therapeutic relationships, engaging service users and their families, and delivering psychoeducation to support understanding of diagnoses and treatment plans. I am experienced in supporting individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs, using a compassionate, structured, and person-centred approach.
I possess excellent IT, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, and I can remain calm and effective under pressure in fast-paced clinical environments. I am committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice, enabling me to deliver safe, compassionate, and effective care that promotes positive mental health outcomes and service user recovery.
