I have experience in looking after children. I am a young carer for my mum and my younger brother who has autism spectrum disorder as well as Global delay. This can sometimes be challenging but over the years I have learnt ways to support him as well as ways to make looking after him easier for myself and him.
My mother also had a kidney and pancreas transplant, so I very often help her around the house and help her with her medication. In addition to that, having a job as a healthcare assistant has taught me how I can assist all kinds of families and children. I have met with many different families of different backgrounds which has given me a better understanding of the world as well as that, how to interact with and support all kinds of people.
