I'm Charlee, I graduated from London South Bank University in June 2018, since then I have been working predominantly in the branded corporate side of the media industry, working with clients such as Unilever, Novo Nordisk and Johnson Matthey.
I am a competent and skilled user of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; seeing interesting effects and editing techniques I often reciprocate them into my own content but adding my own flair and fun to it to endeavour to create thumb-stopping content that people enjoy and can relate to. I also use DaVinci Resolve to colour my personal films.
I specialise in building a narrative; often I'm given hours worth of interview footage that I have to whittle down to a 2 to 4 minute film, so it's particularly important to be able to pick out key moments for me to then craft into a story. As well as building a narrative, over the past couple of years I've worked on crafting music to fit with the narrative or what's on screen. Rather than just slapping a music track down, I can take music stems and essentially manipulate the audience to get excited and ramp the music up or slow it down and make it low when I want them to feel sad or think about things. With that I've also developed my sound skills by making sure to add lots of sound effects to make my films as immersive for the viewer as possible.
I am a perfectionist, I won’t settle with mediocre, I’m not happy unless my work is to the best standard I know I can achieve. I am a focused, reliable worker keen on utilising my experience and embracing new challenges.
