My names full name is Charles Brooks. I've been in the double glazing trade for over 20 years. First at age 16 (1999) I worked as a trainee service engineer and cosmetic damage repairer with fitting when required windows /doors that couldn't be repair leaning from experienced fitter and I also do many courses on cosmetic repairs on wood , aluminium and UPVC frames at Martindales windows on a PAYE contract after that at 20 (2003) i went self employed as a sole trader and I worked for The window company mainly leaning my trade at first with more experience fitters then on my own with a trainee of my own fitting , then becoming head fitter , fitting sash windows , box sash windows, patio doors ,front doors , back doors and bi-folding doors plus also service engineering and changing glass units or toe and healing windows/doors then after 18 year doing mainly that work by Southwark council though the windows company with a few different trainees over that time unfortunately the window company when in to bankruptcy down to bad management .
Then cond 19 happened and I had over year with no work ,Then when I was 38 (2021) I took my son on as my trainee he was 18 and we worked for focus windows doing new build site work fitting aluminium windows and doors but as for now work as stoped for a couple of months and I can't wait for it to start again so I started looking straight away. My son is called Archie brooks and he is 20 years old now with two year experience in the trade and he has taken in a lot over the two and bit years he has been working with me ,My son is very eager to do things the right way first time and gives his best to everything I ask of him to do ,he knows to protect a property first by sheeting and covering correctly , he can cut an ip out , he can trim but only straight forward windows that can around a revile on to plaster , he can lift a lot of weight as he is 6,2 and very athletic and he can also glaze plus toe and heal windows/doors. We both have CSCS cards, Manual handling, Asbestos awareness and Working at height certificates up to date., I have a full driving license (automatic) Hope to here from you soon Kind regards Charles

I started at martindales as a trainee and worked with very many different experienced fitters leaning the windows trade and service engineering plus cosmetic repairs from brake in which I completed many courses set by Martindales in Bolton, I left Martindales in 2003 to work nearer my family

I started at the window company as a semi skilled but confident 20 year old and mainly carried out work for Southwark council property, servicing, repairing or replacing windows and doors , The windows company also has direct customer so also fitted bay windows , bi folding doors , French doors and patios ,

I stared at focus windows as a windows installer with my son (18 years) as my trainee , we worked in Watford fitting aluminium frames on new build property's for bellway homes then we worked on another bellway new build job doing mainly the same but with EPDM around the outside of the frames but due to scaffolding issues and management problems the window install had to be put on hole for a few months.
