I am an early career Teacher (Secondary) with six years of experience working in mainstream schools and SEN provisions with my main subject being Physical Education. I also have experience teaching SEND students, History, Science and PSHE.
I enjoy responsibility and am told that my organisation, enthusiasm and reliability are some of my strong points. I am proactive, can prioritise a workload efficiently using my own initiative and have the ability to make my own decisions and take responsibility for my actions.
I am passionate about making sport inclusive and accessible and volunteer as the Assistant Secretary of a local football club. I take great pride in watching my team learn, socialise and have fun whilst developing their football skills and overall health. In my free time, I play football for a women's team and enjoy spending time with my family.
My current role involves filling temporary vacancies in schools across the county and providing specialist PE cover in cases of staff absence. Although my time in the schools is short, I aim to inspire children of all abilities with my enthusiasm for health, fitness and physical education. However, my previous permanent roles within mainstream education, my role included planning and teaching lessons, contacting parents/carers, working alongside appropriate members of staff about students, leading extra-curricular clubs, attending meetings and leading the planning and leading of Cambridge National Sports Studies for the PE department.
During my time at a Specialist School, my roles were slightly different and included thinking on the spot due to a fast change of circumstances, supporting students in the hydrotherapy pool, and teaching Physical Education to students with a wide range of disabilities.
Education lessons included sensory activities, obstacle courses, dance and developing their fine motor skills.
