I am an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Site Manager with 4.5 years’ experience working within the construction industry, supported by a 2:1 degree in Construction Management from Liverpool John Moores University. I am now looking to transfer my management, safety and operational experience into a career within the railway industry. I have had a strong interest in railways from a young age, developing through trainspotting and a long standing interest in railway operations and driving.
I am particularly motivated to build a career within the rail industry and develop the practical skills and knowledge required to progress within the sector. In my current construction role, I have developed strong skills in site management, health and safety, coordination, communication, problem solving and working effectively within a team. I am accustomed to working in safety critical environments, managing and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
I am a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to safety. I am keen to bring my existing experience into the railway industry, undertake further training and develop a long-term career within the sector. I hold a range of relevant industry qualifications, including SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, PASMA, IPAF, CISRS Basic Scaffolding Inspection, First Aid, Fire Marshall, Vehicle Banksman, CPCS Telehandler and CPCS Slinger/Signaller.
I also have experience working across a variety of construction projects, including education, healthcare and redevelopment schemes.
