Community First Aider - St John Ambulance - Surrey

In order to maintain my clinical knowledge, history making, and decision making skills, I joined St John Ambulance as a Community First Aider, which has given me the opportunity to work at events such as Working F.C. games, The Epsom Ladies, as well as a range of community events. This role requires strong patient communication and documentation skills, which I am confident in. Equally, both my teamwork and leadership skills are demonstrated in this role where patients are treated by a team with varying levels of experience.

This role allows my reflective practice, prioritisation and adaptability skills to develop while working with a team to contribute to my community.

While on weekly calls with my companion, I work with compassion and empathy to effectively engage with her and problem-solve any issues that have come up in the week. My interpersonal skills have allowed me to develop a close relationship with her, which I hope to continue for many years.

Shift Manager - Pizza Hut - Ashford

As a respected member of the team, I answer queries and maintain customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. Trusted by my peers as an accountable team player, I am tasked in organising and dispatching drivers, whilst simultaneously managing orders to improve shift productivity. I effectively prioritise orders to prepare, based on waiting times and the perimeter of the delivery shop, providing satisfaction for both the customers and the team.

I am responsible organising and cashing out daily finances and ensuring the shop adequate for closure in the evening following shift.

FPA Student Representative - Brunel University

While at Brunel I was elected as the Faculty of Physician Associate Student Representative. This role required strong organisational and communication skills, whereby I acted as a liaison between my university cohort and the FPA, representing students interests and concerns, promoting FPA initiatives and advocating for the profession.

Pilot Study Volunteer - Age UK

My role for Age UK was in its early stages of development, titled the Trailblazers Training Together, as part of a pilot study. As part of this, I logged into a robot in the participant's home to do some exercises to improve their mobility, as well as combat loneliness. This role gave me greater contact with advancing technologies, and understand the use of technology in healthcare and health prevention, while appreciating the importance of ongoing research and innovation, whilst aiding those in my local community.
