Born and raised in Edinburgh, I felt drawn to the theatre and to film from a very young age.When I saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in the West End, I was completely inspired by how the sets and costumes set the scene before a single word was uttered.My experiences so far in costume have only confirmed that long-held desire. I love developing designs in collaboration with the rest of the team and I feel like I belong backstage.
I have costume assisted on six theatre productions from January 2023 to July 2024 ranging from small productions with 3 actors to a medium scale opera with 85 opera singers all needing costumes of their own. As a costume designer, I have also managed costume assistants on two productions in December 2023 and March 2024. This experience has confirmed to me that I feel at home when backstage.
