Since 2017 Charlotte joined the house building industry and successfully transferred her skill set to the industry. Charlotte was responsible for 18 development sites ranging from 50 to 500 plots around the Yorkshire and Midlands regions and ensured that her engineering requirements provided a betterment to the key date targets of each site. She has demonstrated she can liaise with Yorkshire water and the Local Authority to gain technical approval on S38, S278, S104 and S185 approvals.
Charlotte has proven experience working with internal departments by producing comprehensive feasibility studies for the Land department, assisting with value engineering for the commercial department as well as assisting with construction and sales queries. Charlotte also mentored the new technical trainee to take them through their first site. She has also adapted to the site drawing portal and assisting her peers in using the portal.
Prior to joining Barratt David Wilson Homes Charlotte has 6 years industry experience in the assessment and management of contaminated sites. Charlotte has been responsible for soil and groundwater assessment during field assessments, data management using Access and including use of GIS, risk assessment and report preparation for a range of industries at sites within the UK. Charlotte has also had experience working on nuclear sites.
Charlotte has been a mentor for a number of new graduates. Prior to joining AECOM Charlotte worked in the geosynthetics industry where she was responsible for providing technical advice on implementing vapour barriers and presenting both on a national and international basis.

Within my role as Engineering Manager at Harron Homes, I effectively manage a team of 4 engineers to deliver the engineering and utilities infrastructure to facilitate our developments on site.
