I am an LLB law with Criminology graduate student. I graduated from St Mary’s University (London) in July 2023 with a high 2:1 degree. Through studying Law at A level and University, as well as through my experiences my family’s retail and property businesses, I have a long-held interest in the application of the law. I am keen to develop a more detailed, working, knowledge of how law is practiced across different disciplines.
I have completed both the online ‘Summer Virtual Vacation Scheme’ and ‘Winter Vacation Scheme’ (2022) which were run by Legal Cheek and University of London where I was able to interact with various lawyers and learn more about differing fields within the legal industry.
I have also completed a week of work experience at Pennington Manches Cooper LLP in London (March 2022). During this opportunity I shadowed a Partner at the firm, learning under his direction, drafting letters and filing paperwork.
In December 2023 I did Judicial Shadowing at Staines County Court. This gave me valuable insight into how the Court operates and getting to witness first-hand how cases are handled.
In April 2023 I completed a work experience enrichment programme with the Crown Prosecution Service.
While studying for my A Levels I gained several experiences of mooting and learning more about the court experience.
