Chloe Bridgett

I entered the sustainability world through working as an ESG intern alongside my Environmental Science degree. I am passionate specifically about sustainability in the UK agricultural sector, and completed a first class dissertation on the subject whilst at university. I have worked primarily on sustainability strategies and carbon reporting for the construction and agricultural sectors, and would love an opportunity to continue working on topics I am passionate about.

I believe I have a positive attitude and persevere in complex situations. I have experience remote working whilst also travelling up to 200 miles to site visits, and believe I am flexible and adaptable to new working environments. Throughout my work experience and time as a university student ambassador I have developed my communication and collaboration skills, I can confidently work within a team and independently.

Severfield – ESG Intern:

York, 10 week placement over the course of July 2022 & July 2023

• Contributed to multi-scope carbon accounting and reporting across multiple business units.
• Led on specific projects simultaneously, such as reporting ways to improve biodiversity across the company, research into UK sustainability legislation and carbon markets, and developing new waste management targets.
• Developed knowledge on sustainability reporting and ranking frameworks & standards (such as CDP, TCFD, GRI, MSCI, Ecovadis, ISO 26000, ISO 14001).
• Produced clear and concise summary reports for members of the Plc board.
• Contributed to developing sustainability e-learning and articles for internal use across nine business units.
