I am a freelance Illustrator currently based in Dundee, Scotland. I work in both traditional and digital media and am interested in editorial, picture-book design, surface design and scenic design-based projects. Using a playful style throughout my work, I tend to incorporate hand-drawn textures and patterns.
Focusing on translating ideas and emotions through characters, narrative or conceptually to create a simple yet effective message. Some of my recent work has focused on themes such as mental health, climate change, the importance of community, and growth and well-being.
2D Artist for Yogscast Games Jingle Jam Competition at Yogscast Games (2024-12 – Present)
Took on the role of 2D artist and worked within a team to create a interactive game. Designed the characters and start screen of the games 'Gibbon Take' and 'Chimp or Champ'.
CULTIVATE: Tilt Learning Report at Creative Dundee (2024-01 – 2024-02)
Commissioned to create a series of seven illustrations for the report on Creative Dundee's Cultivate programme. The illustrations were to address the key themes that emerged across the final year of the project, focusing on themes such as 'power, privileges and systems.' As well as 'role of the artist' along with adding illustrations for the identity of the Cultivate typographic logo.
'Light Around the World' Glow in the Dark Trail at Dundee Botanic Gardens & How It Felt (2023-11 – 2023-12)
Designed two wooden sculptures that were showcased in a light-up trail held in Dundee Botanic Gardens. To bring the sculptures to life, a series of two workshops was planned and held at the Dundee International Women's Centre. Worked with the How It Felt team, staff and volunteers at the Botanic Gardens as well as other artists from the local community.
