I have completed my first year at Hillsborough college where I studied for BTEC Sport Level 2. Through my BTEC, I have learnt a lot about the human body in relation to sport and I have also increased my physical abilities, especially in football. I really enjoyed this subject as it involved practical work as well as team work, both of which I feel I am well suited to.
Here I have shown that I hold a good attitude towards attendance and punctuality. During my time at college, I have utilised all available resources and found that my literacy and numeracy skills have improved a great deal. I have also made some very good friends and who I enjoy socialising with.
As I have developed a good level of time management skills through college. As of this year I have decided to change my choice of course to do plumbing level one. The reason for this choice is because I have basically had some very good recent experience in this trade, as I have been working with my cousin who is a fully qualified plumber.
Through this experience, I have learned a great deal such as how to fit a boiler in a home and also how all the water system works. My favourite part of this work experience is that all of it came very natural for me to follow and actually do. The course in which i studied last year was very useful as it covers all of what I have experienced on the job.
Alongside my main course at college, I have decided to do my maths and english GCSE's. My choice being very simple as I want to suceed in getting better grades as it will help in my future of the possibilities of getting a better paid job/career. This year I'm studying BTEC Sport level 2 city and guilds.
This course will give me the qualifications to be a gym instructor or a life guard, which I hope to become in the not too distant future.
