I am currently working as a IT Systems Engineer as a contractor for a well known power station.
I started my journey back in 2014 when I joined the Royal Corps of Signals as a communications Systems Engineer. I spent just over 5 years in the armed forces, acquiring the rank of Lance Corporal, leading a team in multiple British and NATO exercises both technical and soldier skill based.
After leaving, I have worked with a few companies for their IT department where I have been able to implement effective change

Service desk engineer role of triaging and working on multiple tickets logged on the ticketing system (serviceNOW), asset management, building and configuring equipment such as laptops and mobile phones. Occasional stepping up to cover management absences.
Attending sites where needed to install or roll out PC and Network systems. In depth Troubleshooting of Microsoft and Windows systems as well as configuration and installation of Draytek network equipment. Exposure to InTune for W11 refresh on laptops and PC’s as well as software deployments and asset tracking. Also Administration of users within Active Directory.
Attending sites to resolve jobs raised by service desk,infrastructure and network teams. Competent in server hardware set up and installation. Proficient in diagnosis of Microsoft and Windows problems and able to resolve in a time efficient manner. Administration of users within Active Directory.
Using a ticket managing system for all logged calls and emails raised by users. Supporting a user base of up to 2000 employees. Exposure and understanding of O365 (adding users, applying/changing licenses, creating mailboxes etc), hardware setup and roll out of W10 and office. Administration of users within Active Directory.
Working with bespoke communication systems as well as commercial of the shelf software. Administration of users within Active Directory as well as system set up and roll out of PC’s using windows XP and Microsoft Office.
