I spent 9 years working as a Team Leader in a care home for adults with challenging behavior, autism and severe learning difficulties. I made the decision to undertake a career change in 2016 where I started working at Grail Laser Profiles, here I have been responsible for operating the bystronic laser to complete custom products designed for or by the customer. During my time at Grails, I felt as though I was missing something within my career this is when I saw local advertisement for retained Firefighters in my local area, Firefighting was something that I had always aspired to do and I knew that I enjoyed working with the community and supporting others.
I have been with GFRS as a competent retained firefighter ever since this alongside working at Grail Laser Profiles. I now feel it is time for me to expand my knowledge in other areas and progress my career.
