Experienced technical leader, architect and software developer with over 18 years commercial experience. Built from the ground up a department of ~40 people, including developers, QA, SA's, BA's, and product.

Whilst over the last few years growing and mentoring teams has become a key part of my role, I still maintain a hands on approach defining and embedding the technical strategy and providing guidance on the systems architecture.

I played a significant role in enabling the growth of a B2B telco, utilities and payments company from a ~£10m valuation when I joined to a £500m valuation in 2020.

At heart I'm also still (and always will be) a developer and a firm believer that keeping up to date with these core skills helps to more effectively manage and mentor software teams. With a background as a full stack developer using frameworks such as .NET, React, Gatsby, Vue.js, Typescript, SQL and mongoDB. I still try to keep up-to date with these skills whether that through being pro-active with self development, prototyping new architectures/technologies we're looking to rollout in the team or stepping in to assist when deadlines are tight
