Seeking NGO data analyst roles starting from September 2023

I combine a background in statistical data analysis and impact evaluation with hands-on experience of MEL with civil society organisations across Africa and Latin America. I want to use Python for research, analysis and management of development projects, and be part of strengthening organisations devoted to sustainable development.

Chance for Childhood: Kenya Programmes Manager 

 March 2021 – July 2022 / Kampala, Kisumu, Mombasa

• Responsibilities: Programme management (2 projects, Budget ~£110,000 per year). Recruitment and onboarding of Uganda programme manager. Interviewing external evaluation consultants and QA of reports.
• Achievements: I led workshops with our partners on using data for programme management: Theory of Change, analysing beneficiary outcome data in Excel.
• Skills used: Project management, Budgeting, Partner agreements.

Chance for Childhood: Global Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officer

September 2020 - July 2022 / UK

• Responsibilities: Improving MEL and programmes quality systems and processes. Provide MEL support to CfC programme managers and civil society partner MEL leads in 5 countries. Lead CfC global impact reporting and visualisation. 
• Achievements: Automated partner reporting with Kobo Toolbox. Facilitated the collaborative design of a framework to evaluate the quality of CfC programme management. Wrote the 2022-25 MEL strategy. Trained colleagues in Rwanda to design surveys in Kobo Toolbox and analyse the collected data.
• Skills used: Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Kobo Toolbox, Tableau Public

Chance for Childhood: International Programmes Officer

October 2018 – September 2020 / Rwanda & UK

• Responsibilities: Project management of an inclusive education project in Nyabihu, Rwanda. Collating annual reach and project impact estimates.
• Achievements: Trained volunteers to collect inclusive education data for a needs assessment in schools in Palabek refugee settlement, Uganda. 
• Skills used: Institutional Bid Writing, Donor reporting.
