While completing work experience, during high school, I gained valuable experience working in a fast-paced, reputable waste management and recycling company. My responsibilities included handling customer payments, maintaining client records and ensuring transactions were processed efficiently. I developed strong customer service skills by interacting with clients both in person and over the phone, answering enquiries and offering guidance on waste disposal services.

Pizza Maker / Shift Runner at Dominos (2021-08 – 2023-03)
I started in August 2021, as a pizza maker and progressed up to become a Shift Runner. Through this role I supported the staff in the day-to-day operations of a shift, delegating tasks making sure to maintain a high standard of customer service during busy periods. I handled the cash management and card transactions entering them into the data base, as well as keep an up-to-date account of stock counts.
I also resolved customer enquiries and complained, and ensured orders were prepared accurately and on time. During my time as Shift Runner, I assisted training new staff members by helping them understand procedures, expectation and the extensive menu. As well as this, it was essential that high standards of cleanliness and food safety was carried out due to drop in safety checks which depended on my shifts compliance.
This role overall helped develop my leadership and problem solving skills in a demanding environment.
Grocery Picker at Asda (2023-03 – 2023-08)
While working in Asda, I worked as a grocery picker. My role was solely to pick and prepare customer orders for collection and delivery. Following the digital picking systems I located items efficiently while maintaining attention to detail to ensure orders were correct and met quality standards.
Working to strict time targets and prioritizing tasks effectively during busy periods allowed me to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of organization, cleanliness and food safety while in line with company guidelines. This job allowed me to work independently while still working as a team to meet daily targets to get orders out of the store in good time to allow correct delivery times satisfying our customers.
Customer Service / Food Preparation at KFC (2023-08 – 2024-07)
During my time at KFC, I gained valuable experience developing my customer service skills in a fast-paced environment. I was mainly responsible for taking orders, handling transactions, as well as preparing food to the company's standards. This role taught me how to work efficiently under pressure, communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues, ensure a positive customer experience at all times.
I consistently demonstrated reliability, attention to detail and a strong work ethics, contributing to the smooth daily operation of the team.
Police Constable at Police Scotland (2024-07 – Present)
I am a police Constable for Police Scotland, Greater Glasgow division. Throughout my role I respond to a high volume of emergency and non-emergency incidents, maintaining public safety and order. Conducting investigations by gathering evidence allows me to put forward to the Crown Crime Reports for them to prosecute the accused personnel.
Another aspect of my role of a Constable is to engage with diverse communities to build trust and support crime prevention, while carrying out proactive patrols in high demand areas. Managing high pressure situations need effective communication as well as conflict resolution skills which I have been able to develop over the past few years. While collaborating with partner agencies I have been able to apply Scottish legislation and maintain accurate records in line with evidential and data protections set out by Police Scotland.
I currently continue to serve in this role, demonstrating ongoing commitment to public safety and community policing in the Greater Glasgow area.
