Ciara O'Rawe

I have recently completed my masters degree and undergraduate degree both in English at Ulster University. Now I am actively working towards a career in publishing.

I have worked part time jobs since the age of 16. I first worked in M&S and also worked in Arthurs Coffee House as a barista, and Next as a Sales Assistant. Through maintaining a part time job over the years, this has equipped me with time management skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

After leaving fulltime education I was employed within the Department for Work and Pensions as an administrative officer where I further developed my telephony skills, negation skills, and ICT skills. I am currently employed as a Due Diligence Analyst with Gryphon, an American based company that is currently expanding their jurisdiction worldwide. Through this role I conduct background research into subjects and produce a through report with all my findings that’s is then forwarded directly to the client.

Through this role I am further developing my analytical skills, written communications skills, ICT skills and time management skills.

I achieved my postgraduate degree in English Literature at Ulster University obtaining a pass with commendation. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the same university, where I studied for a B.A Honours in English and achieved a second class honours in the upper division. Through my studies, I have obtained many skills such as researching a specific area and generating a report, independent study and presentation skills.
