Appointed following the transformation to a collaborative Estates and Facilities function across Surrey and Sussex Police.
- Manage the Surrey hard-services function through a Project Manager responsible for PPM, reactive maintenance and project works, alongside 11 caretakers, within a £7m operation.
- Continue responsibility for Sussex Police maintenance and project delivery, including contractors, statutory compliance and asset replacement.
- Lead delivery of major capital and estates projects across the two forces, coordinating internal stakeholders, project managers and supply-chain partners.
- Delivered £1.5m of PV and battery installations across Surrey and Sussex.
- Delivered two new roof projects with a combined value of £1.7m and window replacement works valued at £500k.
- Created a new Sussex Police subcontractor framework with a value of £2.9m.
Maintenance Manager - Sussex Police

TUPE transferred into Sussex Police when the maintenance service was brought in-house; supported mobilisation of the in-house team and new contractors.
- Supported mobilisation of the in-house maintenance operation and associated contractors.
- Established statutory compliance reporting tools for presentation to key stakeholders across the force.
- Prepared and presented a business case to the CFO Board which secured £14m of capital funding for a five-year M&E asset replacement programme commencing in July 2022.
- The programme was designed to reduce the force's carbon footprint and reduce operational risk associated with ageing plant.
- Delivered £1.2m of asset replacement including AHUs, air conditioning, LED lighting, air-source heat pumps and a biomass boiler.
Account Manager – Sussex Police - Kier

Accountable for the hard-services NSR contract across the Sussex Police estate, comprising 52 sites.
- Led a delivery team comprising 2 Project Managers, 2 Maintenance Supervisors, 11 Engineers, 3 Helpdesk/Admin staff and 22 subcontractors.
- Managed a £1.4m annual PPM contract, £1.3m reactive works and approximately £3m of project works.
- Held responsibility for P&L, WIP, debt and billing, with a focus on target achievement and cash flow.
- Chaired monthly client meetings and presented PPM, reactive, compliance, health & safety and operational performance information.
- Reported contract performance, financial position and growth opportunities to the Director.
- Reduced WIP from £2.7m to a working level of approximately £200k.
- Increased the PPM contract value from £680k to £1.1m through additional L8 water-flushing scope and improved preliminaries.
- Reduced overheads by deploying engineers geographically to reduce travel and increase availability.
- During the COVID-related reduction in workload, retrained engineering staff to undertake work previously delivered by subcontractors, protecting jobs and generating savings for Sussex Police.
Facilities Manager – Thales Crawley - Mitie

Accountable for the integrated facilities management module across the Thales Crawley estate, covering eight buildings and approximately 3,000 staff.
- Managed M&E, cleaning, catering, security, front of house, landscaping, document management, energy management and waste services.
- Led seven service-line managers and an overall team of approximately 40 staff.
- Held responsibility for health & safety, training, HR, resource deployment and employee engagement across the Mitie team.
- Chaired monthly service-line forums and presented energy-management and estate performance reviews to site and Board directors.
- Conducted internal compliance audits and supported compliance audits at other UK Thales sites.
- Managed health, safety and statutory compliance performance across the estate and controlled reactive and planned works through a CAFM system.
- Managed an annual P&L of approximately £2.5m, including WIP, debt and forecasting; project works ranged from £1k to £1m.

- Managed contract financial performance, WIP, invoicing and payment processes to maintain required profit margins.
- Held regular client reviews covering contract performance, finances and project delivery, supported by detailed monthly reporting.
- Controlled subcontractor mobilisation, RAMS and site inductions before works commenced.
- Led multiple projects, contributing to delivery strategy, value-for-money decisions and opportunities to reduce energy costs.
