Claire Deacon

My name is Claire, I'm 51 and live in Farnham with my two children who are 13 and 15.

I have been in the recruitment space for over 20 years; my speciality is finding candidates from very complex briefs, interviewing candidates against the brief and preparing reports for my clients to consider. A natural part of recruitment is interviewing and listening; assessing someones capabiliites and character, I suppose. This led me to formalise my natural coaching style with an accrediated coaching course, which I graduate from in June 2024.

Having recently been made redundant from my recruitment role with Gerard Daniels in March 2024, I am now looking at opportunities closer to home, in Farnham. I am currently interviewing with educational employers as the hours are more compatible with my home life than those in the corporate world.

I bring a wealth of corporate recruitment experience, together with my natural creativity and desire to help others.

I have worked for over 30 years, starting life as a Personal Assistant. I transitioned into recruitment in 1999 and have worked there ever since. When my children were younger 2008-2019, I worked in a freelance capacity so I could be around for them and more recently I have worked in London.

I am well versed with CRMs and databases as well as other technology, including AI. I am an expert user of LinkedIn. My coaching abilities come in really handy when I am speaking to candidates, clients or prospective clients.

I left school with just my GCSEs so my recent 9 month course with The Institute of Psychosynthesis where I acheived a certificate in Leadership Coaching, is my most recent (2024) education.
