I am friendly, outgoing, have a good sense of humour and always willing to help. I enjoy Parent interaction and I work well on my own or as part of a team. I am constantly looking to further my knowledge as I believe this can only benefit the children and other staff with whom I work. I have worked with children for many years; I ran a volunteer Playgroup at the local church hall, mornings only, for 12 years, and before that I looked after family and friends’ children while my own were small. Eventually I was in a position to undertake a BA Hons degree, and from there I have continued to further my education with several other courses. I have worked in several schools, infant, primary and secondary in mainstream and specialist settings but my main area of expertise, and main enjoyment is working with children in pre-school.
I have worked as a level 6 Preschool teacher and Math coordinator and as such I was responsible for the preschool children’s education in shape, space and measure, and early numeracy. I was also a keyworker which means that it was my duty to ensure the children were given every opportunity to grow and develop whilst receiving the highest standard of care. Before pre-school I ran a busy Playgroup for children aged 2-5 years, for over 12 years at the local church.
Diploma in Advanced SEN level 4
BA Honours degree in Childhood and Youth studies
Plus various side qualifications to further my knowledge
