Experienced in a range of floristry from delicate wiring to large scale installations and have the ability to think creatively to ensure safe, organised and efficient construction. I have found I have a particular strength in building and understanding the mechanics to design larger and more complicated designs.
I dedicate time to research trends weekly including fashion, interior design and art to ensure I can offer current proposals whilst creating unique designs that create impact.
It is my firm conviction that people make a business and its so important to be able to include the team across all elements of a project, and equally important to know how to liase positively. HR qualified I have always had a passion for people and I get a lot of satisfaction from coaching, guiding, developing other and sharing the skills I have built up over the years.
I enjoy engaging with people from many walks of life and can build strong relationships with clients. I understand how clear honest communication and demonstrating knowledge for my art, instils confidence.
Sustainability is a difficult but not impossible goal within the floristry business and I have introduced many steps within my current role to remove or reduce the use of ribbons, cellophane and floral foam. It is a challenge and one which I would like the opportunity to explore further.
As director I have a vested interest to ensure the financial viability of every project we undertake. All proposals I create are costed by item based on market rates before a quotation is sent to the client. I work methodically though the clients journey from initial lead to installation noting all contact to ensure no information can be omitted or confused.
I am very experienced in customer management. I build strong relationships with clients and venues and alongside my extensive knowledge of floristry and events I am successful in converting leads.
Floristry is my passion but sadly due to receiving treatment from breast cancer in 2023/24 I now struggle to execute the more physical elements of the role. Which is why I am seeking a role which I can apply my skills and it allow me to continue working within the floristry industry.

Floristry Events Manager – Company Director/Wild Event Productions Limited
Responding to all leads promptly and managing the client’s journey from enquiry to installation. I create client brief's, design event proposals and quotations ensuring profitability. Using my creative expertise to conceptualise and design floral arrangements, taking into consideration the event's style, venue, and overall theme.
I organise logistics of event installations and derigs. Loading, delivering, installing and de rigging events across Kent and London and maintain the props storage and workspaces ensuring the correct sundries, tools and materials are ordered.
I coordinate with event organisers or venue staff to ensure timely and proper installation of the floral décor at the event location.
I liaise with and support the shop team (Coco and Bloom West Malling) and supervise the shop when required. I contributed to the shop opening by creating all risk assessment and health and safety documents, recruited team members and sourced apprenticeship facilitators to develop our team.
