I am a mature and responsible individual, seeking a career in retail. I am flexible around the working hours however I do have a daughter so I prefer hours that work around her child care needs. I am an enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking and determined individual.
I like to improve on what skills I currently have and I am willing to learn new skills and develop them in the working environment. I have gained skills such as; communications, listening and computing skills. I am also a creative person and like to show this when I can.

During my time at Randox I would have handled covid tests sorting them into different category's from a range of colours, sizes and quick response areas, but also disposing of tests that are invalid and cannot be used. Health and safety was a vital reasonability ensuring the correct machines were used and cleaning them after each use, wearing the correct protective clothing e.g. gloves apron mask was also essential.

During my time in the nursing home my role was to assisted residents with washing dressing toileting needs and even feeding. I would have also used my manual handling roles to move residents from a bed to a chair or to the toilet using hoists or walking aids. When working as a care assistant I showed each resident compassion, respect, dignity as well as giving them the right to choose.
Many of the residents didn't have family so preventing them with companionship helped with their emotional well-being. Having a clean and tidy environment safe from hazards was very important to me I would of ensured that each room was cleaned after been used.

I'm currently working at pavers retail store as a customer adviser which I enjoy because I have gained and improved on my skills through my day to day routine. I have been a very hands on and energetic worker which I am able to show within my daily routine. This involves my attention to detail by displaying, stocking and organising a wide range of shoes in order from there brand, size and even shoe colour.

I worked part time at a restaurant at my local airport. Within my duties I build up good customer relationship by assisting customer in menu determinations, recommending wines and other drinks as well as taking orders and serving dishes at a large number of tables. I also worked as part of a team to establish good quality service ensuring that I pass on the correct table orders and any other information that may arise.

I worked at a restaurant in my local town. The responsibilities I have include approaching customers when arriving, showing them their table and menu. Daily specials occur and I am giving this information at the beginning of my shift, I retain this and give it to customers. I take orders in a polite manner, communication has to be clear to ensure the customers' orders are correct. I communicate the order back to kitchen staff.

During my time with OCS, I cared for people that weren't independent and needed aid with transporting themselves and their belongings through the airport. Initially from meeting and greeting the clients at the entrance of the complex taking their baggage, always had to be smart and presentable. I have to ensure that all customers were comfortable and calm with the process, overcoming any barriers that may have occurred.
I also helped clients with any other activities they required such as food and drinks. Before transporting to checking out and assisting with boarding the plane.
Customer Assistant - Small Bikes NI - Antrim Business Park, Antrim
I carried out work experience at Small Bikes NI, I worked here for a month carrying out many different tasks and gaining many different skills. These included serving customers, assisting them and satisfying their different needs. I also gained skills in handling money and using a till, with debit/credit card.
I also helped out on stock and replenishing the stock using an EPOS system. I feel this experience started me off in my daily life, with skills that helped my confidence within retail, grow.
