About

I am a keen cook and baker. My mum is a chef and I have learnt a lot of culinary skills from spending time with her creating great food. I also enjoy drawing and painting, and attend life drawing classes to further develop my skills. As I just finished studying art, I have had the privilege of working with a range of media, encouraging me to explore my love of sculpting and textiles further- specifically in the form of crochet.

August 2021 - December 2023

My duties included serving on tills, where I was encouraged to upsell items that are part of promotions. I was key to the shop floor locating products in stockrooms. I provide outstanding customer service and aim to have every customer leave with a smile. I also processed new deliveries, completed customer returns and web orders, as well as on occasion ran a floor in the store and double counted cash for management at closing time.

The Larder, Magdalen Road — Chef

December 2023 - PRESENT

My duties include providing made to order meals, making daily stock and cooking in preparation for alternating chefs. Furthermore, I complete weekly and daily stock takes, perform deep cleans and, on occasion, deliver orders. Due to the nature of the job, I have strengthened my ability to work under pressure, improvise effectively when needed and work well alongside my team.

September 2021 - August 2023

I studied English Literature, History and Spanish- achieving a C in both English and History and built on knowledge from GCSE Spanish. English Literature enabled me to work well in groups and channel ideas, as well as have confidence in communication. History allowed me to freely explore areas I am passionate about, and Spanish (while partially limited) allowed me to communicate using one of the most spoken languages in the world.

Oxford Brookes University, Oxford — Foundation Degree Art and Design

September 2023 - June 2024

I have just finished studying at Oxford Brookes, and plan to find an alternative pathway to university to explore my artistic career further. As an artist- I am able to think creatively and find solutions to problems. Furthermore I enjoy collaborating and working with others, as well as managing my time to create independent projects. I am awaiting my results from this course.
