My role consists of laying materials such as slabs, kerbs, modular paving stones and sets on a variety of bedding materials.

I also use safe digging practices when excavating or reinstating my works area using a multitude of plant to do so, such a cable avoidance tool and signal generator.

I am also trained and competent in using other plant such as a stihl saw, floor breaker, whacker plate, mixers and generators.

Alongside handheld plant I am also able to operate forward tipping dumpers up to and including 9 tonnes and compacting rollers up to 1400mm drum.

Other training I have received whilst performing this role is banksman training.

In my role as a Ganger my duties have extended too overseeing paperwork such as permits, service drawings, layout plans, risk assessments and method statements as well as organizing my sites deliveries, sub-contractors and external works. As well as organising gangs and tasks for the day/week and liaising with other Gangers and Supervisors to complete the task ahead.
