Security Guard - The Range - Pitsea
(2025-08)
Working at The Range as a security guard has allowed me to build upon skills such as loss prevention, conflict management and communication. I have had to put the training I have had in Personal Safety to the test by safely restraining and preventing thieves from entering and leaving the store. I have robustly dealt with people who are banned and I have assisted in regaining the publics confidence in the store making it a safer place to be.
I spend some time during my shift monitoring the CCTV cameras, this is to ensure that I identify anyone who may be in the store to steal or cause issues. I also monitor them to ensure that I can be of assistance to the staff if they need me. I am used to working longer hours and I am capable of travelling to my place of work via public transport whilst I await my physical driving test.
This has not stopped me being punctual every day.

As a security guard at the hospital I do get involved in assisting nurses and doctors with patients who are very unwell. I assist in carefully detaining people using all the skills I have learnt during my personal safety training.
