Folding Operator, foiling operator, die cutting operator, guillotine operator at Streamline Press (2016-08 – 2016-07)
Required skills is more or less the same as my previous job, working fine under pressure also working to deadlines to get jobs out in time for the customers. Operating folding machines and produces quality folding to the customer's needs. I can also operate foiling machines which isn't easy to grasp but I was determined enough to learn the machine and able to set up and run it within 3months.
This is also the same as the die cutting machine as both the foiling machine and the die cutting machine was moved to streamline press a few months before. As of the guillotine I have been on the machine for a good 2months and also dropped on it a few times before that when needed and I am able to set up jobs and cut them efficiently. I work a standard 8-4 Shift but when asked to do overtime, 90% of the time I will do it, especially if it helps the company out.
PRINT FINISHER at PRINTANK (2016-07 – 2016-09)
My short time at printank, they offered me a lot of experience being involved in the folding machines and also the die cutting. I felt like a part of the team from the first day I joined and I felt like I wasn't shy to do new things as well as carrying on with machines that I already had experience on. Plus, I wanted to jump on any new machine when I had the opportunity.
MERCHANDISER at FASHION UK (2016-09 – 2023-09)
Whilst at Fashion UK I gained a lot of experience in my computer skills. (Excel, Emails, Etc.) I was part of a team that looked after the Spanish & Portuguese customers and was in regular contact with them. Part off my role was to be in touch with Fashion UK's Factory's to try and fulfill customers orders for the cheapest price possible so we could raise are margins up to have a better profit margin.
Role that I was performing at Fashion UK was setting up a way of working with D.O.D (Direct on Demand). I felt like I made a big impact in changing the way in which we worked. I created a step-by-step guide on how to run D.O.D which is still used to this day.
WAREHOUSE OPREATIVE at HEROES INC (2016-09 – 2023-09)
I first started at Heroes Inc being a Picker/Packer but then picked up the job quite quickly and got moved onto other tasks. I was moved on to help find a better way of working with our Branding Department which consisted off creating a live excel spread sheet so people in our company could access and see what stock figures we had for certain branding. I have also got my Forklift Drivers License.
Another role that I have taken on is to be in control of Freight which consists off printing off daily orders for our picker and packer team to complete as well as booking in orders for certain customers and get them delivered to the correct address. I also took on roles such as warehouse supervisor and also had to step in when no manager was available. Whilst being at heroes I have had 2 years' experience driving a forklift.
GOODS IN COORDINATOR at MARKS ELECTRICAL (2023-10 – 2026-08)
I First started of as being a normal warehouse operative at marks electrical which consisted of making sure products were picked and placed into the right areas for loading vehicles. Also I took over APC & DPD picks pretty much as soon as I joined, and was the person to come to if there was any issues regarding picking on each day. I have also been trusted with stock control around the warehouse which included jobs like, stock counting and highlighting any discrepancies which I found e.g. missing stock, damaged stock and so on.
Also I have been trusted to take on managerial roles when there is no manager on site, I would give directions and jobs for the rest of the team to do on the days when there was no manager and I feel like I can run a team and delegate quite well. I have also had experience with being a goods in coordinator, this role consists of making sure that stock comes into the warehouse in a safe a quick manner. Also having to process all items that come into the warehouse.
We also had to get used to a new system called D365 and I had taken the responsibility to create a way of working on the new system so new workers can look to see how we work and get them up to speed pretty quick. I have been working on a 4on 4off shift for the time I've been at marks electrical doing 12hr days so I can pretty much be on my feet all day and also being very flexible with over time. Since being at marks electrical I have also gained another years' experience being a forklift/clamp truck operator.
