I am an ambitious, dedicated, excellent, enthusiastic, and innovative Medical Engineer with experience working in a variety of technical teams performing analysis work for a broad range of established and cutting-edge medical equipment. Throughout my career, I have successfully managed the entire product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization. Currently working with the NHS in Bristol, I work in combining Physics and engineering, providing technical services in doing preventative and electronics repairs and calibration of medical equipment in the Hospital. I am heavily involved in Quality assurance and testing Xray units in fluoroscopy, mammography, dental which are mobile or in room units in the hospitals and in the field settings. I also link the devices to the clinical software (Cris, PACS, Qaelum and Medunsa). At Steve Biko academic Hospital, I played a pivotal role in the development of a groundbreaking CT repairing workshop for CTs which are out of warranty, which not only improved patient outcomes but also resulted in a huge savings in external repairs. My hands-on experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, regulatory specialists, and linking remotely with manufacturing engineers, has equipped me with the ability to bridge the gap between technical specifications and practical application in clinical settings. In addition to my technical skills, I have a proven track record in navigating complex regulatory environments. I successfully led a team in field engineering of CT and Xray room for other hospitals, improving the cash flow for the engineering department. I also ensure that all documentation and testing complied with industry standards. My familiarity with UKCA marking, MHRA regulations, EN 60601, EN 62353 in NHS and I also become familiar with the 13485, 60601,14971 and 10993 while in South Africa including other relevant quality management systems which has been instrumental in maintaining compliance and facilitating smooth audits. I am adept at identifying potential risks early in the development process and implementing effective solutions to mitigate them. Moreover, I am passionate about utilizing cutting-edge technologies to enhance medical devices. My recent work involved integrating AI into device functionality, resulting in enhanced user experience and better data collection for clinical decision-making. I thrive in dynamic environments and am committed to continuous learning and adaptation to emerging trends in medical engineering and being able to teach Clinical staff with an advantage of my teaching and lecturing experience.
