I am a driven individual with a strong interest in supporting other individuals. I am calm yet energetic and have the ability to build trusting, positive relationships with those around me. Working well independently and in teams is one of my strongest points as I am a great listener and also a great communicator when it comes to sharing ideas. I have a main background in education and SEN but have gained lots of transferable traits and lessons whilst in my current and previous settings.

As a special needs teaching assistant some of my main roles are to provide a safe environment for all children and their families, to safeguard all children, to provide families with coping strategies and advice, provide children with self-regulation strategies and to support children in their education. In my role I work both on a 1-1 basis and in a team which has helped improve my confidence around other people and my confidence in speaking up.
Support worker at Lifeways Group (2024-11 – 2025-03)
Whilst working as a support worker I was supporting adults with autism and learning difficulties, in this role I was working on a 1-1 basis with the adults supporting them in their daily life as well as encouraging them to go out into the public and providing them with interesting activities in the public. I worked closely with the individual and their family to ensure they received the best care possible from me.

Whilst studying for my gcse's I worked at st Marys as a part time cleaner, this role taught me efficient time management as not only was I studying for my exams and working part time but I was also a caregiver to my autistic sister.

This role, although part time, was a stepping stone for me to then move on and achieve working with a wider range of children.
