Deck Crew - Macro Offshore - Empire Wind Project – New York

Duties include handling the maintenance and operation of the ship or rig's deck. Loading and unloading cargo, securing equipment, handling mooring lines, performing routine inspections, cleaning and painting surfaces, assisting with safety drills, operating deck machinery, and supporting offshore operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient workflows.
Roustabout - Valaris 121

Duties included supporting oil and gas drilling operations by performing general labor tasks. Duties include maintaining equipment, cleaning work areas, assembling and dismantling rigs, handling materials, assisting drillers, and ensuring safety compliance. Operate basic tools, transport supplies, monitor machinery, and help keep drilling sites efficient, safe, and organised.
Banksman Stage 3. Deck crew Roustabout - Petrodec B.V / Atlas

Duties include Helideck crew, Fireteam member, Banksman duties and slinger duties, General housekeeping, painting jobs and all other expected duties of a Roustabout onboard a Jack up rig. I have had excellent exposure to decommissioning of wells and removal of topside packages.
Mechanical Preparation of steel work. Assisting roustabouts on deck with various tasks - Stena Drilling (Agency: Global Resources) - North Sea

My duties during my trips offshore on the Stena Don were to prepare various parts of steel work (Handrails, plates etc) all around the rig. On completion of cleaning back any steelwork, we were then instructed to undercoat all steelwork for the finishing coats. During my 3 trips to date, I was appointed on the night shift operations team.
My other duties whilst on the rig were to assist the roustabouts on deck preparing loads for lifts with crane ops, slinging and laying pipework ensuring all lifts were safe and secure. We were also tasked with backloading various sized steel containers/stores to and from supply vessels which were alongside the rig.
Workboat/Floating Plant Painter/Shotblasting - Offshore Workboats - Clydebank

Presently my duties are to maintain, repair and respray various workboats and vessels In between chartered hires. On hiring each vessel out we will carry out an 'As left' survey. Once boats return from charter, my job is to carry out an 'As found' survey and report, photograph and take measurements of any damage/defects needing found.
This includes preparation work, organising of plate repairs or replacements by our dedicated welding contractors, shot blasting of steel, undercoat the new steel or repaired steel, paint the new steel once the undercoat has dried then give it a final coating of anti-fouling paint for sea/river use. On completion, all jobs are photographed and logged for future reference. New steel will have thickness readings taken and added to the vessel/barges files.
This is to ensure the vessel's hull maintains a good thickness of steel to prolong the life of the vessel.
Dive Tender/Linesman - Clyde Commercial Diving Ltd - Clydebank

My duties whilst working with Clyde Commercial Diving Ltd were to be part of a HSE Minimum 5man commercial dive team. I would drive the company vehicles to each job then I would assist the dive team in setting up their equipment, ensuring all plant and machinery would be fuelled up at all times and bunded on plant nappies. I would also assist whilst the divers were in the water tending their umbilical's keeping a close eye on the movement of the diver and giving them a max 1m additional umbilical to allow movement for working.
Line signals would be sent through the umbilical to which I would react as per guidance from the Dive supervisor. On completion of each job, I would ensure the plant and equipment were cleaned/stowed away correctly and sites tidied prior to demobilising. I would also assist on any safety boat jobs the company had due to my previous experience with the river Clyde boatyard.
Pneumatic & Hydraulic tooling skills were gained during my time with Clyde Commercial Diving Ltd as these are the tools used underwater. I would help set up & maintain this equipment to ensure the safe use for each diver entering the water.
Freelance Boatyard Labourer/Linesman - The River Clyde Boatyard - Rothesay Dock East, Clydebank

During my time working @ The River Clyde Boatyard, I was tasked with assisting various personnel within the company. Our duties were to Lift out vessels up to the Gross weight of 75Tons and store within the boatyard. Depending on the shape/size of each vessel, we would have to decide whether cradles of timbers would be used to chalk the vessels up.
We would then need to provide power/water to each vessel as the owners would carry out repairs/maintenance etc whilst on the hardstanding. We would also assist with the likes of engine replacements using the company plant/equipment within the boatyard. Supplying fuel and materials to the clients was also included in our duties.
General maintenance and keeping the boatyard clean and tidy to ensure the clients had an environmentally friendly workspace. I would also assist on any safety boat jobs within the dock providing linesman cover to the skipper. The company owned many safety boats which they operated to assist vessels coming into the hoist bay.
Freelance Electrician's Mate - LMM Electrical Services Ltd - UK Wide

With LMM, I became an Electrician's mate due to my knowledge and previous experience within the electrical engineering industry. With Chris, we carried out many rewires to commercial and residential properties. We also carried our repair/maintenance works for many different clients. We operated as a 24/7 Emergency service as and when required.
Electrical Engineer Apprenticeship - DH Morris Group - Scotland (Beith Main Office)

My roles & responsibilities were to gain a City & Guilds Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship. During my time with DH Morris Group I established many skills within the electrical engineer industry. I worked with various tradesmen carrying out jobs such as new installations, rewiring, repairs etc. I was also tasked with keeping records of each job up to date within the company database. Equipment maintenance/repairs/replacements were also included in my roles and responsibilities.
