I am motivated and professional 22 year old with a lifelong passion for horses and agriculture with extensive hands-on experience in horse ownership and equine environments. Having grown up immersed in the farming and equestrian world, I have gothic industry insight and a strong understanding of the needs and values of agri/equestrian clients. I am known for my strong work ethic, communication and positive attitude, as well as being a confident rider that loves trail riding and competing.

I am a very adaptable person who will get up and tack on attitude to most aspects of life! I also thoroughly enjoy working the work and have recently taken up running as a new hobby.

Groom and yard assistant - Private trail hunting yard

(2019-09 - 2024-04)

I have been fully employed for 5 years working for a private trail hunting yard on an estate. This involved working with 12 horses and working alongside 2 other full time grooms where we would be trail hunting 2-3 times per week. However, over the years the place had calmed on horses and staff and I have cut my yard hours to focus on my equestrian education.

I take pride in how high I set my 'turn out' standards so I am very thorough when it comes to clipping, plaiting and how well our horses look on this.

• I have grown up with my own horses which I competed in showjumping, evening, pony club and even turned a roof to trail hunting. I have now hunted for 14 seasons. Trail hunting has helped me create strong relationships with my employers and customers alike.
• I worked for a local equestrian feed business for 5 months when I was 18, years old along side starting my A levels. This involved daily yard chores, exercising the horses, learning to show and training days.
• I have worked in a horse feed shop where I gained retail experience, customer service and sales. This was a very hands on job and I filled in when colleagues whether that was working the till and taking payments or customers in the shop creating feed orders, organising the stock, helping clients choose suitable feed for their animals or I would travel around the company van and deliver clients their orders to their yard. This helped my communication skills.
• I worked at an equestrian community site as well as familiarised myself with many feeds/supplements that I can also describe clients and recommend to other clients.
• Alongside my current employment, I am also studying a veterinary nursing assistant qualification to keep me busy as I enjoy always working towards a target in my free time.
