A mother of two with 21 years experience creating a loving, nurturing environment for my children. My eldest child working in the healthcare industry working towards her passion in emergency services. My youngest with severe learning disabilities, specifically 'Williams Syndrome', who has made the transition from a Special Educational Needs School into adulthood.
Over the past 14 years I have focused my life around my youngest, ensuring he has the best care and support to be the best he can be. I believe I am a caring, thoughtful and respectful individual who not only supports my immediate family, I have also supported many other parents/carers with their children's journey from school into adulthood. This experience has enabled me to use my core skills, qualities and values as an ambassador of equality and to assist other parents/carers with the challenges that they face during the transition between school and adult services.
I'm a very grounded person with a great sense of humour; excellent emotional intelligence with the ability to empathise during different situations. Punctuality is important to me given my current level of responsibilities and understand this to be a key asset to any employer. I'm a Committee Member for ETCA – The Lounge Café, as part of their developing governance structure.
My role is to support the company to be financially sustainable in it's ambition to develop person-centred services to young people in their transition into adulthood.
