Business Owner at Computer & Convenience Store and Clothing Shop X2 (2010-11 – Present)

During my time in the Philippines, I owned and ran a Computer and Convenience Store. Here I managed a team of 5 employees as well as managing stock, business accounts, and employee wages. Following this success, I then decided to begin my ownership of dry goods and clothing shops running in parallel at two separate locations. Dealing with all business-related operations from staffing to stock ordering and sales operations.

Night Duty Manager at Welcome Break (2001-01 – 2010-11)

I was responsible for the operation of the site at night. I dealt with a wide range of situations, from quality of service, health and safety and staff issues. Other duties included stock control, input of wastage and labour on EPOS systems and handling of money. I also acted as the site first aider. In this role, I had to think on my feet, handling any situation that raised.

Supervisor at Joe Jennings (2000-04 – 2001-01)

I was responsible for cash handling, customer service and data entry. I also acted as Manager when the Manager was absent.

Project Manager at Hampshire Youth Service (1998-01 – 2000-04)

This entailed a whole host of different roles and duties. My responsibilities were to ensure a correct and safe environment for young people. I was a team leader of a youth club working closely with a small team to support and help young people; other duties were to maintain the running of the club and the development of my team members.

I was also responsible for organising youth exchanges with overseas youth organisations. Duties included obtaining funding, planning and communication with local/foreign authorities and companies connected or sponsoring the events.

Supervisor at Courtlands (1995-07 – 2008-01)

I managed several catering teams, providing a quality service and a high standard of food. I acquired excellent organisational skills, adapting to each different unit daily due to different types of food and service.
