About

I am very hard working and always work to the best of my ability. I like to ensure that I approach all jobs in a logical way, ensuring exceptional time keeping and organisation skills. I have spent a number of years working within a team and have always been regarded as a valuable member. I took voluntary redundancy from Vauxhall in March 2011, after 10 year's service, to explore other career opportunities.

Since Leaving General

Motors, I have completed several qualifications and in May 2016 I obtained my Class 2 driving qualification followed by Class 1 license in March 2022. During this time, I have worked for several companies delivery anything from building materials to building sites, to driving refrigerated lorries carrying food and medicines. I had had experienced over the last 2 years of driving a range of class 1 vehicle types.

I am physically fit and keep active in my personal life which I believe helps me be successful at work, moving heavy loads and completing deliveries safely.

This role required me to price jobs either by visiting the job or taking off drawings. I then tendered for jobs, ensuring that materials and labour are included whilst trying to offer the best price for our clients. I had several sites which I would visit once the job is underway ensuring materials were available as well as dealing with staffing, checking targets and dealing with any issues as they arose.

I also worked alongside the plumbing team; fitting pipes, installing water fountains, WC's and curtain heaters in schools and commercial buildings.

I worked for GMM Luton for almost 10 years, in the Production, Control and Logistics Department for over 5 years. I was responsible for various areas of the factory each week ensuring that they had the correct parts and are sequenced correctly, so that production along the assembly line can operate. I had to ensure that stock was received from the delivery drivers on time and stored in the correct locations.

I also had to follow health and safety guidelines and ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner across my area.
