After moving to Lincolnshire, I became the sole teacher of Geography at William Lovell. Here, I regular review the curriculum of Geography and make necessary changes to benefit all learners such as the lower 20% attainers, SEND and higher ability students. I have also been the Literacy Lead of the school and have just completed a NPQ in Leading Literacy; awaiting results.
I also take part in extra curricular activities such as co-leading the school show in order to enrich the lives of our students. I am currently completing 150 hours of CPD with the Centre of Excellence in Seismology, to enhance my knowledge and my love of plate tectonics. I have recently built the Citizenship curriculum which I teach at GCSE level, alongside Geography.
After having a successful trainee, I hold the title of ITT/ECT Co-ordinator where I oversee and guide new teachers to the profession. I have taught History and English at different points of my time at William Lovell.
Geography Teacher at Chase High School (2019-09 – 2022-04)
After completing my Teacher Training, I became a Geography teacher at Chase High School. I passed my NQT year here and developed experience working either side of the pandemic delivering the Geography curriculum. I worked closely with the head of subject. In addition to this I taught Citizenship where students were able to apply the British Values in a learning context and tackle critical topics such as healthy relationships and bullying.

Cashier & Enquiry Desk Accredited at Leeds Building Society, London Branch (2017-04 – 2018-07)
I started working as a cashier at Leeds Building Society. A very high pace job, which deals with queries from opposite ends of the spectrum, this job taught me how to practice a degree of patience, analytical skills and communication and promote the effectiveness of positivity, to display an innovative way of professionalism. I was also able to practice my organisational skills- cash management; mental arithmetic, cheque banking and safeguarding money.
After six months on the cashier desk, I fulfilled the next step of being 'enquiry desk' accredited, whereby I was able to open accounts and build a picture of what customer's needs were by open questioning techniques, building PR and maintaining the 'know your customer' (Identifying and verifying). There was also a lot of variations within the job which examples are – spotting fraud, adhering to the Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority and HMRC's rules and detecting vulnerability within customers at an early stage to provide help before their situation worsened.
Checkout Customer Assistant & Tech Support Team Member at Tesco, Gallions Reach Branch (2013-04 – 2017-04)
I started as a checkout customer assistant in Tesco. This job taught me how to work under pressure during busy times, with customers expecting a speedy, effective and professional service, and maintaining a rapid level of transaction flow as the company has an 'I don't queue' strategy to minimise the customer waiting time. In October 2013, after starting my degree, I was offered a role on Tesco Tech Support department, which including working in a team of 8 people that supported each other in selling the latest technological gadgets to customers who may want a specific product that meet their needs and desires or people who were just interested in learning new technology.
This job also included refunds and exchanges, customer service, high-value delivery security, and liaising with the customer service desk, online desk, electrical help desk and the clothing department. After three years of Tech Support, the company underwent a re-structure and I am currently working on the Non-food department, replenishing stock, which incorporates elements of my previous role.
