Daniel Toney

I have plenty of experience working in the industry both as an artist and behind the scenes. Filming an video projects are things that I am greatly passionate about and I enjoy working to make a vision a reality. I have experience operating video equipment and editing together visual content for various projects, such as social media, trailers and shorts. I greatly enjoy throwing myself in at the deep end, so lets get cracking!

Arts Coordinator/Theatrical Technician

Sir William Perkins School, Chertsey (September 2023 - Present)

• Provided lighting plots and sound playlists for productions
• Coordinating students for crew duties during performance projects within the school. 
• Communicating with external artists to get their involvement in the school.
• Running site operations for moving equipment and fixing technical issues.
• Running clubs within school: Drama Clubs, Digital Video & Editing Club and Light & Sound 
• Running the social media account and editing together promotional reels for productions. 
• Using Adobe Software & Wavepad/Multiplay/QLabs to edit together films and production recordings.

Mine (or Unapologetically Autistic), (2023) [Ongoing]

• Camden Fringe (2023), Etcetera Theatre (2023) & Bridge House Theatre (April 2024) 
• Developing the script of a 1hr semi-autobiographical piece about growing up with autism. 
• Recruiting the production team & managing them during the runs of the show.
• Creating social media concepts for marketing purposes.
• Networking with organizations/charities that focus on neurodiversity.
• Contacting reviewers & other industry experts to advertise the show and invite them to press nights.

Theatre Touch (PR/UK) (June 2020 - July 2022)

• Creating musical content to be used with their projects.
• Using stimulus given by the production team in order to create musical soundtracks for social media content and productions.
• Being the main consultant for the UK branch of the company.
• Editing scripts for theatrical resources intended to be adapted.
• Brainstorming scenes and resource concepts with the creative team over in Puerto Rico.

Unicorns Are Red (Summer 2017)

• Exeter Barnfield Theatre run as part of Exeter’s T3 Performance Festival.
• Recruiting & auditioning actors, managing cast and production team.
• Creating social media content for promotional purposes.
• Being the main point of contact for organizations and charities sponsoring the show.
• Developing the music for the production & organising workshops for the cast in order to create new musical numbers/transition tracks.

Univibe Recording Studios, Birmingham

• Setting up the musical equipment for the artists preferences.
• Provided regular refreshments for the artists
• Assisted the artists with researching local venues to organize future tour dates. 
• Organising & booking future sessions for new artists looking to record.
• Undertaking additional organisational tasks to help the recording process run smoothly.
