TEAM LEADER: BCT ACCOMMODATION PATHWAY - ST BASILS - West Midlands

In my role as Team leader I am responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the BCT supported accommodation contract, covering 80 bed spaces across seven services in the West Midlands. I lead and support a team of staff to ensure services run effectively, safely and consistently, while keeping the needs and progress of young people at the center of the work. My role involves balancing operational demands with staff development, safeguarding, partnership working and ensuring the service delivers against contractual expectations.
- Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the BCT contract across 80 bed spaces and seven services, monitoring performance against contractual KPIs and ensuring effective communication and follow-up around bed availability, voids, property management, referrals and occupancy. Working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure young people are placed appropriately and progress towards independence.
- Provide monthly one to one and supervision to onsite support workers through regular supervision, coaching, feedback and performance management.
- Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, safeguarding meetings, care planning and multi-agency meetings, providing relevant updates and professional input.
- Raise, respond to and monitor safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate actions are identified, followed up and recorded, with a strong focus on the safety and wellbeing of young people.
- Liaise with a wide range of professionals, including social workers, local authorities, commissioners, education providers, health professionals and other partner agencies, to ensure a coordinated approach to accommodate 16-25 care leavers within St Basils BCT pathway.
- Complete and maintain monthly and quarterly KPI reports, making sure performance data is accurate and submitted on time in line with contract requirements.
- Present KPI and performance data to external commissioners, providing clear updates on service performance, progress, and any areas that need improvement.
ACCOMMODATION PATHWAY COORDINATOR - ST BASILS

As an Accommodation Pathway Coordinator, I was responsible for assessing referrals, coordinating accommodation placements within the Birmingham children's trust pathway within St Basils. My role was to collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, I ensured placements were appropriate to individual needs, risks, and support requirements while promoting positive outcomes and independence
- Assessed referrals and pathway documentation to determine suitability for accommodation services.
- Coordinated accommodation placements for young people aged 16–25, ensuring support needs and risks were fully considered.

PROJECT COORDINATOR - TECH CRAFT (SELF EMPLOYED) - Orlando, Florida

As a Project Coordinator, I supported the delivery of a large scale LED installation and commissioning project for a new themed attraction in Orlando, Florida. Working closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers and onsite trades, I helped coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the project, from preparing and testing LED equipment through to logistics, installation and commissioning. I was a key point of contact between onsite and offsite teams, helping to keep communication clear, resolve issues and ensure the project stayed organised and on schedule.
Alongside the coordination and administrative side of the role, I was also hands-on onsite, supporting engineers with LED panel installation, cabling, positioning and connections. I coordinated deliveries, procurement and stock, managed RMAs and maintained project records, while also carrying out site safety checks. I was also licensed to operate a cherry picker (MEWP), allowing me to safely support installation work at height.
The role gave me valuable experience of working in a fast-paced international project environment, balancing practical delivery with organisation, problem-solving and communication across multiple teams
- Oversee the preparation of LED panels and modules, ensuring all components are pre-configured, and software is set up prior to installation.
- Coordinate and conduct testing and quality control of equipment to ensure readiness for installation.
- Serve as the main point of contact between onsite and offsite teams, suppliers and stakeholder's ensuring smooth communication across all project phases.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR - VANTI

As an Operations Coordinator, I was involved in a variation of areas across the business, from supporting projects and coordinating engineers to dealing with clients, suppliers and the warehouse team. I helped support project delivery from the planning stage through to delivery, making sure equipment, materials and people were where they needed to be and deadlines were kept to. I also supported onsite installations, subcontractor onboarding, health and safety and client requirements.
I worked closely with the Technical Director, providing day-to-day support and helping keep the wider business running smoothly.

As the sole Recruitment Coordinator I managed the recruitment and onboarding process across a variety of roles within the business. I worked closely with senior managers to understand each role and what was needed from candidates, while also headhunting and sourcing suitable people. I managed job adverts through the internal CRM, carried out first stage interviews, arranged further interviews and supported candidates through to onboarding.
I also prepared onboarding documents and created plans to help new starters settle into their role and the business.
