Over six years of experience in working with children with mental health, learning difficulties (including autism) and a visual impairment in an educational setting. Can adapt any lesson to cater for child’s learning needs and accessibility whilst liaising with parents, class teacher and other health care professionals. Establishing goals in both academic and behavioural aspects and monitoring child’s progress through written reports.

Have worked with children for almost six years including kindergarten in an educational setting. Classroom set up, general house-keeping, toileting and teaching small groups of children whilst liasing with teacher and their requests.
Training includes safeguarding vulnerable young children, child protection and awareness, health and safety in schools, awareness in sport and general health and safety at work. I also have qualifications in Counselling skills which have helped me to be empathic and caring which I feel are important qualities to have when working with young children.
