I currently work as a Warehouse Picker in QD Warehouse. My role is to pick the stock shown on the scanner and pack pallets of various goods using a PPT truck ready to be delivered to stores. I always achieve the pick rate targets set by the company and work hard to get the job done efficiently.

As a full time Sales Assistant at Nike I worked in a variety of roles such as customer service, standardising and stocking of the shelves/racks in both footwear and the clothes department. I also worked in the stock room bringing in stock from the trucks and putting this away in the correct areas in the overflow stock. Working behind the tills helping with customer queries, returns, customer complaints and general customer service provided me with excellent communication and customer service skills and confidence in managing sometimes difficult and high pressured situations.

Whilst working at JD I worked on the shop floor in the footwear department and textiles department approaching customers in need of assistance, helping them to find the products they were looking for and looking in the backroom for items not on the shop floor. If an item was not in stock or in our backroom, I would assist the customer at the kiosk with ordering the item online. I worked on the till serving customers, handling exchanges, customer queries and scanning items.
I also worked in the stockroom multitasking organising stock, manually radioing another staff member to identify what was needed, and getting it to them whilst organising deliveries. Whilst at JD, I did a four week visual merchandising course to learn about priority positions for stock and when moves need to be done in store. Part of working as a Sales Assistant meant I sometimes had to travel to other stores to help cover for sickness and staff absence.

Whilst working for A.Royden, I performed many different tasks such as stripping down the roof, laying on new felt and battens, installing velux windows, laying lead into the valleys, cutting tiles to fit on the valley, laying ridge, relaying the tile and putting on the fascia, soffits, guttering and downpipes. In this role I worked both with a colleague or individually teaching me team working and strong communication skills, but enabling me to trust myself and my ability when lone working.

I worked as a mechanic on a week placement. During this week, I worked alongside experienced vehicle technicians carrying out servicing on vehicles and various vehicle repairs. I performed a change of a cam-belt while being supervised by a vehicle technician.
