Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with over 25 years' international experience delivering mechanical commissioning, recommissioning and start-up of Combined Cycle (CCGT), Simple Cycle, Cogeneration and HRSG power plants worldwide. Specialist in HRSGs, Water-Steam Cycle and Balance of Plant (BOP), with extensive experience from Mechanical Completion through Cold & Hot Commissioning, First Fire, First Steam, Synchronisation, Reliability Runs, Performance Testing and Commercial Operation. Experienced in Mechanical Completion, ITR execution, System Walkdowns, Punch List Management, P&ID Verification, Functional Testing, Chemical Cleaning, Steam Blows, Hydrostatic Testing, Pressure-Part Inspections, Leak Testing and Commissioning Documentation.
Strong technical knowledge of pumps, valves, rotating equipment, condensers (including ACCs), cooling water systems, lubrication systems, vacuum systems and fuel systems. Lead Shift Engineer (2025-06 – 2025-07)
Led shift operations for the Siemens SGT5-4000F Open Cycle Gas Turbine and full Balance of Plant, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable plant performance. Operated and monitored the unit via Siemens T3000, coordinating closely with the ROCC and site shift team to manage starts, shutdowns, alarms, and operational constraints. Maintained strict safety and permit-to-work compliance, supported fault response and troubleshooting, and ensured effective shift handover and reporting.
HRSG Commissioning Engineer (2023-12 – 2024-06)
Mechanical commissioning of two NEM HRSG units as part of a combined cycle power plant project. Scope encompassed final construction completion, punch list resolution, chemical cleaning, steam blows, and cold and hot commissioning activities. Played a key role in planning and executing hydrostatic pressure testing on all pressure parts in accordance with project specifications and code requirements. Ensured proper documentation, test pack completion, and witnessing by client and third-party inspectors. Provided technical field assistance (TFA) to align construction deliverables with commissioning readiness, maintaining close collaboration with QA/QC, OEM engineers, and site management to uphold safety and quality standards.
