My 17 years of design teaching have allowed me to embrace a range of different roles that include becoming: a module leader, a facilitator, a curator, a co-author, and a graphic designer. Throughout the years of my teaching at the Hong Kong Design Institute, I enjoyed teaching so much as well as interacting with my students, sharing my experience, and helping them to pursue their dreams. My specialised subjects were Creative & Design Thinking, Visual Communication, and Aesthetics & Semiotics. My ability in management, creativity, and communication enables me to work both independently and proficiently in an academic environment. I am a detail-orientated person with a keen aesthetic sense geared to work professionally. With more than thirty years of professional experience in graphics, branding, and UX design, I am resourceful with professional study cases and industrial networks that would serve as relevant materials and teaching references in the classroom.
I finished my Master's Degree in Design Strategies (MDes) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2011. I studied and worked in the US for 10 years during the 90s when I graduated with my BA degree in Graphic and Packaging at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. I can speak and read several languages including, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I am a multitasker and willing to take on new responsibilities with enthusiasm. I consider myself highly communicative with a strong work ethic.
