
Materials Controller - BIS Salamis, Greenhole Place, BoD

Main duties consist of but not limited to; Control of the main warehouse inventories ensuring stock levels are maintained, tracked and managed accordingly via SAP, liaise with all offshore departments to ensure outstanding materials, work orders, repairs are all controlled within a timely manner to allow for effective planning and focusing on priority work scopes. I have good experience providing materials support in a number of platform key areas such as, Operations, Maintenance, Drilling, Well Services, Coiled Tubing and Decommissioning. Due to the nature and demands on this role I also have a firm understanding of SAP and efficiently navigate and interrogate the SAP program to clarify components, materials for procurement.
I assume responsibility of purchasing including the management of consumables. I have a good detailed understanding of environmental, hazardous and non-hazardous waste procedures for effective segregation prior to shipment to Enviroco onshore. I control and maintain spread sheets and specialise in the shipment and receipt dangerous goods by air and sea.
I communicate effectively with all offshore supervision and onshore Supply Base Manager with regards to supply vessel sailings, platform bulk requirements, backload of materials and monitor rental equipment to be cost effective. I work closely with the platform Deck Foreman, Crane Operator and delegate priority lifts and deck space management requirements. At times I also support the platform working heli-deck the deck crew as banksman/slinger.
I have a keen interest in safety, participate in the company safety expectations, responsible for creating and reviewing risk assessments associated with Materials Controller role and awareness of company procedures. I also perform the emergency response role of lifeboat coxswain and checker.

Deck Foreman at BIS Salamis (2004-06 – 2009-12)
Working with platform priority lifts, working supply vessels, changing out bulk hoses and crane main block for 2 & 3 fall lifts. Successfully worked through a number of campaigns including Drilling, Coiled Tubing, Slick line and e-line. All of which are high risk activity for injury where we worked through to completion without incident.

Driver for loading and unloading chemicals for drilling operations, First Aider, building and reviewing deck crew risk assessments, manual handling trained and assessor, Slinger Banksman, Rigging and Lifting various fixed and loose lifts.
